You need time to travel through the Baviaanskloof wilderness area...

You cannot just rush through the Baviaanskloof. Make sure you have anough time to stop, to explore, to experience the valley.

Some people make the mistake to try and travel through the kloof in one or two days. Don't do the same. Ideally, to do justice to this trip, allow yourself a week to explore this wild and wonderful kloof...

Looking for more pictures of the Baviaanskloof Wilderness?

Below are some more galleries of photos that I have taken during our trip.

What is there to do in the Baviaanskloof?

  • Hiking .
  • Mountain Biking.
  • 4X4 routes
  • Camping
  • Picnicking.

Where to stay?

There is a number of places where you can camp or find accommodation in  the kloof.

If you would like to search for accommodation in the area I can recommend  that you do so through Safarinow . They  have a huge  selection of South African Safari lodges on their books and their service is excellent.
