African Safari Campsites Reviewed
ATKV Buffelspoort is a lovely family orientated holiday resort situated in the Magalies mountains close to Mooinooi in the North West province of South Africa.
It is close to the big cities of Pretoria (Now called Tshwane) and Johannesburg which makes it ideal for a weekend breakaway.
The Caravan Park is huge and a lot of the stands are levelled with paving bricks.
Green lawns and plenty of trees complete the picture. There are more than enough ablution blocks that are well maintained and cleaned regularly.
What I like most of this campsite and resort is that the kids can keep themselves entertained.
Enjoying a Braai...
There are a lot of activities to keep them and for that matter, yourself busy.
During peak seasons there is live entertainment as well.
The climate is warm, typical of the bushveld in South Africa so come and enjoy the balmy nights.
Even winter weather is not that cold and the indoor heated pool certainly attracts a lot of people.

How to get to the ATKV Resort...
Directions from Pretoria: Take the N4 West to Rustenburg. After 64km start looking out for Exit 207 Marikana. Exit left to the R104. Turn right on the R104. Arrive at destination on left.
Directions from Johannesburg: Take the R512 and follow this until you turn right on the R560 close to Hartbeespoortdam. After about 4km turn left on the R104 to Mooinooi. Continue for approximately 35km until you reach the destination on your left.
