Crocodile attack on woman

I just want to comment on the story of the woman that was taken by a crocodile while swimming. I think it is a terrible thing that happened to the poor woman but why did she go swimming in a river that is known to have crocodiles in it?

Surely she or her companions should have known better? It just seems unelievable that people will ignore the dangers that wild animals pose.
