The Bo-Kloof Camping site is situated on a working farm in the Baviaanskloof.
The hosts, Quintis and Anina Bezuidenhout are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
It is a small, well maintained campsite on lovely green lawns with some shady trees.
There are some lovely stone fireplaces where you can braai or just sit around the campfire.
There is an electrical point at the small ablution block and scullery.
Just remember to bring along a long extension cord if you do need electricity.
The ablutions are basic but neat and very clean. I loved the peace and quiet of this campsite, just the place to relax after sightseeing and driving through the Baviaanskloof.
Although it is nice stopover one should consider staying more than one night as you simply must do the Waterkloof hiking trail.
Have a look at our pictures of the campsite and the Waterkloof Hiking Trail.
There is also a 4 X 4 trail for the off road enthusiasts.
Please note that you will need a 4X4 vehicle to safely negotiate the section over Combrinck's Pass in the Baviaanskloof wilderness area. From Patensie travel east on the R331 to Andrieskraal. Just before Andrieskraal turn right on the R332 to Cambria . Keep left on the R332 past Cambria. Once you are through the wilderness area the going gets a lot easier. Follow the R332 until you reach your destination on the right after approximately 120km
Head south on the N9 for about 5km. Turn left on the R332 to Baviaanskloof. The roads makes a split after 29km. Keep left on the R332. After another 34 km arrive at Bo-Kloof on your left hand. You do not need a 4X4 vehicle on this route.
